Lilypie First Birthday tickers

The little things...

I bought the letter L yesterday for our living room. I am hoping to find the R and J to go along with it! I just love the monogram look and can't get enough of it! The letters were on our registry list at Dillard's but they went on sale so I went ahead and bought them since I was afraid that all the letters that I would need would be gone by April!

I love the style of this map by Laura Hooper! It's fun and creative. I plan on trying to re-create something like this for McKinney! I think it would be appreciated by our guests!
I love this shoe!! I am still searching for the perfect pink shoe for the big day! This one is by J Vincent at Dillard's and I love the patent look with the open toe! There is another shoe at Nordstrom that I am considering but as the days get closer I must limit my choices and make the final decision!! A pedicure is on the list as well!!

The Gerber Daisy challenge:

Sunday, January 25, 2009

This weekend Mom and I went to look at flowers at Edwards Florist in McKinney for the big day!
We took all of our great ideas and worked with the owner Stacy Edwards on how to make it beautiful with gerber daisies! Everything from the bouquet to the pew arrangements will have gerber daisies in it!! We went through the ladies flowers first and then began the mens flowers for who would wear one and so on...and that is were we had a stand still....Stacy said that gerber daisies for mens boutonnières would not hold up for the wedding and I began to panic having my heart set on gerber daisies for the guys to wear would match all the girls and look amazing on their black tuxes. So Stacy gave me a gerber daisy to wear for the day to test out the life of a gerber daisy to see how it would hold up for up to 6 hours!! I was really excited about wearing it and of course wore it until 7 that evening, we went to downtown McKinney, Stonebriar Mall, Hobby Lobby, Joann's Craft store, and dinner at Red Lobster and
it looked just gorgeous at the end of the day!!

Mom and Dad at Red Lobster!
He always has an animal on his shirts when we go out
it's kinda like his own little fashion statement!

Mom and I at Red Lobster!
The daisy in good condition!!
We put it on at 11:30 and took it off about 7!
While at Hobby Lobby we got Kinley's flower basket for her to toss petals out of! On the basket will be a small bouquet of gerber daisies similar to this look! We also got Chance's ring pillow...I am not sure where that picture is right now! Also, for the bridesmaids bouquet there will be pink and white polka dot ribbon around the stems .. I will take a picture of it soon it is really cute!
More pictures later! (p.s. the dress should be in at the beginning of February!!! YEA!!)

Check that off the list!! yipee!!

I bought a veil on etsy.com and Ross and I booked our first night at The Fairmont in Dallas before we leave for our honeymoon!! We are still looking into a variety of options for where to go but more details on that later! I have decided on bridal gifts I just have to purchase them soon.... and I am still on the hunt for adorable pink shoes for me to wear! Any ideas please let me know!
I am patiently waiting for my dress to be delivered first to the boutique where my mother and I found it in Buffalo, NY then it will be flown in to TX hopefully sometime in Feb.! The invitations are ordered and will be arriving soon! Lots of things happening and the wedding is quickly approaching! I am ready for a little bit warmer weather too!

My weekend OFF!! Shopping, sleeping, watching movies, and relaxing!!

At Swoozies in Allen we found the perfect sash for all the girls!

Britt and I headed out and about on Saturday to get a variety of wedding tasks accomplished!
We first stopped in downtown McKinney to finalize the details for the Wedding invitations and set the order so that we can get proofs in soon to address and send out for the big day!
Then Brittany's dress had arrived so we went to Frisco to pick it up and I insisted on her trying it on at the store to make sure it was the perfect fit...well...it was to big! No need to panic though
they are going to work with her to get the best fit possible! From there we went to Hobby Lobby for decorating ideas and then off to T.J. Maxx Home in Allen to check out there collection of home accessories! I bought a really cute silver pillar candle holder for the living room!
It's almost 100 days until the big day and for right now I am calm and feel as though
we are on schedule with everything the books are telling us to do!

Posy Lane in downtown McKinney.
The black and white invite with bright pink writing!
While Mom was in town over the holidays we checked out tons of
wedding magazines to get ideas on reception and church decor.
We are thinking lots of flowers, candles, and colorful candy for the candy bar!
