Ross and I happily married 3 months!

Pool Day!! Ross and I enjoyed hanging out at the pool with my parents
a few weekends ago when my mom was in town!
It was July 18 and Ross have been married 3 months!
We enjoyed reading magazines, playing in the water, and snacking of course!
Dad and Ross in the water goofing around!
Isn't he cute!? Ross bought a new wolverine beach towel and was really excited about taking it to the pool! I think that was probably one of his favorite parts about going to the pool!

Mom is going to kill me for posting this pic but it's so them I just had to!
Dad reading about fishing and hunting while enjoying peanuts and mom kindly listening as he tells her all the new tricks of fishing and shows her images of catfish, striper, and bass.

Mom and I enjoying a lazy day together! Ross and I are very excited about flying to California in September to visit!! We can't hardly wait!

Sonic Happy Hour!!

This past weekend we spent Sunday at the LaPrade house! Lorin came to McKinney and brought Lucy too...along with a few fun movies! We watched Bolt and even though it was animated it was really funny and cute! It made us all laugh as Ron changed the surround sound throughout the movie and asked us what was going on throughout the movie
as we giggled at the kid humor!

Inspired by Rachael Ray
Slim Chicken Parmesan: Recently I have found myself cooking more dishes for Ross and I. I stumbled upon this recipe a few weeks ago in my new Rachael Ray magazine (Aug edition) and thought Ross would really enjoy this since he does love Italian food and it has less calories...what's not to like! This is the finished product and it turned out amazing! It was fun to make it in the kitchen as I enjoyed listening to music on one of our may ipod docking stations and talking to Ross about my day. Ross really enjoyed it and even had leftovers the next day! Little did I know the recipe made plenty for 4 or more...we are only a house of 2 but this recipe will be my secret weapon when we have company over!

This is another great recipe from the same edition of the Rachael Ray magazine. I made Britt and I summer corn and tomato pasta. We both really love tomatoes so this was perfect!
Britt has been very encouraging in my new learning abilities in the kitchen and
always pleased when I make her a delicious meal....she makes the best monster cookies ever..so she is the winner in the dessert department!

A little visitor

Monday, July 13, 2009
This weekend we had a little visitor at our place...Toby, Ron and Nora's dog. They went out of town for the weekend so we offered to care for Toby while they were gone. He arrived on Thursday and enjoyed hanging out with us as we came and went for work since it was a crazy work weekend for the both of us. He enjoyed going outside and smelling all the flowers and meeting all the dogs in the area! I would like to have a dog someday but I think that we can settle for dog sitting for a while because I realized that I really like to sleep in any chance I get!
Toby was a great little visitor and is for sure welcome back anytime!

Toby slept on the rug most of the time or on the couch on top of
our blanket when we allowed him to get on the couch.
Toby was Ross' buddy while he played video games during his lazy Thursday!

4th of July Fun

I know it was a few weeks ago but I wanted to post the pics of my Dad's amazing cooking skills from 4th of July! I had the weekend off so I hung out with Dad and Tyler on Saturday as we celebrated the 4th together. Ross had to work but before he slept for work I was able to get him to go to the pool with me for a few hours! Dad cooked chicken, pork, corn, bread and baked potatoes which made for a very delicious meal!

The grill where he worked all day making dinner perfect!
Checking on he chicken to make sure it's just right!
