Lilypie First Birthday tickers

Last week of July so far.....

Thursday, July 29, 2010

What wild week so far! Back from vacation and in full work mode now! On Monday night Ross and I both had the evening off and we headed over to the LaPrade house for some family time! Lorin and Logan were making dinner and we discussed our big vacation adventures with Ron and Nora! Lorin made yummy chicken, potatoes, and asparagus for dinner! Lorin did a makeover on Nora and she looked like a diva once Lorin was done! ;) It was great to get to hang out with everyone on a weekday!! Parker and Toby are very friendly these days...can't you tell by the picture above that they are bff? haha!!
Logan and Ross talking guy talk!
Lorin doing a makeover on Nora!
Today I ran 4 miles to start working on my mileage again to go
more than 3 miles on my workouts! It was nice outside but I was
soaking wet in sweat when I got back! I tried half of the 5 hr energy
drink in berry flavor before the run and it seemed to work so I may
be adding that to my daily work/workout routine! ;)

A few weeks ago we got a coffee pot and this is my favorite flavor to make!
Today I had to do "wifey" jobs so I thought with a
little flavored coffee it might be a little bit
more enjoyable for my day off! Well at least
I accomplished my cleaning that was
so kindly assigned to me by my loving husband for the day! ;)
he is so sweet!!
It's almost Friday!! oh yea!! :)

Vacation 2010!

Here are a few pics from our vacation! San Antonio and S.Padre Island!

Ross and I at the Alamo...it was so hot we toured it quickly and then got an ice cold snow cone!

We walked on the Riverwalk and then did a boat tour on the river! It was really nice and we both enjoyed it! We went to the mall and looked at all the touristy shops! We also had yummy mexican food on the riverwalk as we people watched which was very entertaining!!
The next morning we drove 5 hours to Padre where we met up with my parents and brother!

This is Ross as soon as we hit Padre I had to show him the water! See how excited he is!?
Beach days....we tanned, boogie boarded, relaxed and enjoyed the sun!Ross and I with our super cool boogie boards!! Ross got me one with an attachment to my wrist so that I would not loose it in the ocean! ;)
Ross and Tyler went really far out!
Pool Day!
Isn't he a hottie?!
We went dolphin watching one evening and we did see quite a few!! Ross really enjoyed it and I enjoyed the soothing sounds of the waves on the boat!

Mom and Tyler
Ross, Me, and Tyler
Ross, Dad, and Tyler....Dad's other nickname for the week was Tommy Bahama!!
Lots of Dolphins

Dad and Tyler went fishing a few days and this was one proud fisherman!
Tyler was really excited about me taking pictures...
We went para sailing! Ross decided it was a vacation must and I agreed....scared of heights but I agreed! We had a boat ride for about and hour and spent 20 minutes in the air about 450 ft above the ocean! It was really pretty once we got up in the air but I was so nervous and did not want to move afraid that I might fall out of the sling I was in! The crew took pics and dipped us into the water twice!

Hold on tight here we go!!!

One night at dinner on the water.

We will be on the beach for an entire week of sun, good food, relaxation, and good times!

Bruschetta

Tuesday, July 13, 2010
I made bruschetta!!! I got the recipe from the Southern Living Cookbook Memaw Hogan gave me last week and it was a success!! Ross really liked it and I fell in love!! I felt like Julia on Julia and Julia (the movie about french cooking!) Ross helped by making grilled chicken and the meal was complete!! This is for sure a keeper and if you come over I will make it for you too!!
