A few weekly pics!

Monday, August 12, 2013
Here are a few weekly pics of me with the growing baby bump!! ha!
Not sure what happened on week 12 and 13 though!
I have one pair on maternity shorts that I just love! They
are so comfy and cover my tummy which is nice!
The loose dresses are also a very comfy wardrobe
staple during the summer pregnancy time!

New Windows!

New windows!! When we bought our home the sellers would not budge on replacing the fogged windows so we knew this would be a task we would have to take on ourselves! We started with the bathroom windows and the kitchen window! The hall bath has a long window that is floor to ceiling that looks into the backyard. It had black windowpane and foggy streaks. I was not a fan. I figured it would be one to be fixed right off the bat seeing that visitors will be using the
hall bath and it's a pretty large window! Here are a few before pics!
After!! We decided to go with white windowpane and have the window
be cut in half where we can lift it to have air flowing through the home
on cool fall days! ha! I really like the finished product!!
Now, the kitchen window! There is a large window
over the behind the sink looking out into the side yard.
I enjoy cooking and looking out this window was very blah to
me so I insisted that it would need to be one of the first ones fixed!
Here are some before pics!
The side of the window to show the fog...yuk
After!!! Our new kitchen window!!! I just love it!!
We went with the white windowpane and the half window
where we can lift it up if I burn anything in the kitchen!! haha!
It really brightens up the kitchen and the suns shines
through all afternoon!! I am thinking of putting
some flowers on the outside to have a little bit
more of a colorful view!! haha!!

We also redid our master bathroom window but I forgot
to take a picture..oh well! It was a small window over the
jetted tub and we replaced it with an etched glass window
that is just lovely!! We are really excited about
our new windows and all the interesting adventures of
being home owners!!

July 4th!

Wednesday, August 7, 2013
We started our July 4th celebration on the 10th week with Baby L!
We were all packed up and ready to hit the road with our friends Staci and
Joseph! We were taking a road trip in Texas to Fredricksburg, San Antonio, and
Austin! New adventures and a little rest in between!!
On our way to Fredricksburg we stopped at West Texas
to enjoy the little Czech bakery! Delicious cinnamon rolls
and danishes were must on our trip!
In Fredricksburg to celebrate the 4th of July!!
We arrived around lunch time so we hit up
a local mexican food place and relaxed for a few
minutes before we shopped on the downtown square!
The square had adorable shops, candy stores,
fudge shops, puppy shops, and an interesting
selection of women's fashion!
 Staci and Joseph in Fredricksburg!
After our day of shopping and eating fudge we hit the
pool at the hotel for a few hours and then got dressed and
adventured out to see the fireworks in Lady Bird Johnson
Park where everyone in town was parked! It was a fun
night of fireworks! We watched the fireworks and
the grabbed pizza and met up with Amber and Brendan
who were also there with family! We ate pizza
and laughed with them for a little while until we
were all exhausted and needed sleep!

On July 5th we woke up ate the yummy hotel breakfast
which consisted of waffles, fruit, eggs, and orange juice!!
I really enjoyed the waffles!! :) We set off for Driftwood
Texas to enjoy the best BBQ in TX! At Saltlick they
have an open pit where they cook the meat
and bbq all day long! There was about a 30 minute wait
when we got there but they were serving fresh squeezed lemonade
and popcorn for everyone outside so we
sat at the picnic tables and people watched!
 Saltlick wine cellar
Joseph was really excited about all the meat
he could order and the yummy side dishes!
I think they had the best potato salad I have ever had!
I had the turkey which was really juicy and
Ross tried out the sausage!
 The open fire pit!
After we ate at Driftwood we headed off to San Antonio!
We checked in at our hotel and walked to the river walk to
shop and people watch! It was really hot and crowded that
evening! They were also having a craft fair on the river walk
with a few local vendors so that was interesting to see too!
We cooled off in the mall for a bit and then headed back onto the
river walk where we ended up sitting outside and grabbing a bite
to eat before heading back to the hotel. We played games while
we ate seeing who could find the most interesting people
on the river walk!! haha!!
On July 6th we drove to Austin to shop and explore
downtown Austin! We saw the capital and shopped at
the local shops! It was really hot that afternoon so
we stopped for ice cream and headed back to the hotel
to cool off in the pool or nap in my case! ha!
Once we had gotten our energy back we went to
the nearest outlet mall to shop the night away!!
The boys were getting hungry so we let them choose and
Ross chose Chuy's! We enjoyed dinner together
and then hit the bed for a good nights rest!!
After this picture I broke my camera....
I dropped it on the sidewalk and now the screen doesn't come on!
Ross is being sweet and letting me use his for weekly pics only under
his supervision!! haha!!
We had a wonderful trip with our friends and loved seeing Texas
on our road trip adventure!!
