Watter's Creek had a holiday parade last Saturday to bring Santa to the
big tree lighting!!
It was so cute! They had horses and vintage cars all decked out for the holidays! Kids were everywhere waving and saying happy holidays! It was so fun to see everyone get in the holiday spirit! From my store I could see everything and it was a fun night to see!
This Friday for black friday they are having little elves pass out coupons and information
about Watter's Creek! I am so excited to see a little elf I will be sure
to snap a picture!! Also, at Watter's Creek they are having
Santa stationed in the leasing office of the apartments that surround
the center and taking pictures with Santa is FREE!! You get to
do it all on your own! I am taking Parker up there
to take pictures with Santa one weekend! I know he will just love it!

Also, this week I bought me a little early christmas present!! New under armour tights for running!! They are black and white ...some people think they look like zebra print but I just think they are so fun I can't wait to wear them this chilly running season!! Plus the black and white will go with every running top I own!! ( I ran in them this morning and I did a 8 min mile for 6 miles!! wahoo! I think they make me faster already!! ;) plus i had a luke's giftcard!!

I might give this a try...

Date day in November!

Sunday, November 6, 2011
Ross and I both had off Saturday November 5 and it was great!
I had been working a ton since one of my girls at work was on
vacation for a week so once she got back I decided a weekend off was in order!
We decided to go to a winery in Grapevine, Texas!
It is a small winery where they
grow grapes and make the wine right there.
It is one of the only ones in north Texas
that grows the grapes and makes the wine all in one stop!
We went on a tour of The Delaney Winery and a tasting!
We did a tasting of 6 wines.. 3 white and 3 red.
Here we are in the tasting room which is
also known as the barrel room where they do wedding
receptions or big events.

We did a tour of the vineyard to learn about Delaney Winery and it
was very interesting!
Here it the bottling area at the Grapevine location.
The main bottling factory is in La mesa near Lubbock Texas.
The labels are all vintage france which is what Mr. Delaney
enjoys and will continue to stick with for the future.
These are the steel barrels were they ferment the wine.
Here is one of the old barrels that they used to use to hold the wines.
They do notuse them any more since the wine in the middle
of the barrel would
not touchthe oak and would not have the flavor as other
parts of the wine in such a large barrel.

Here we are in the vineyard area. It was very nice and open.
Mr. Delaney does not want to fence
the area in so it's open for the community to see and become involved in.
When it was built it was built near a 2 lane dirt road not the massive
highway that is there now! The vineyard does grow grapes
for one of the Delaney wines which is the Sweet Texas Red.
We bought a bottle to enjoy at home!
It was a fun day adventure and we enjoyed doing
something a little different!
