A recap of the fun weekend we had together! :) On Friday we went to McKinney's Oktoberfest in downtown. It was really cute and even though it was sprinkling there were a lot of people out and about. We walked around the square observing the turkey legs and unique costumes but decided on a nice dinner date at Sauce! It was great! We were still able to hear the music and people watch which is always entertaining! Of course I got a big bag of kettle corn that I enjoyed at work all week! The best part for me at least of Oktoberfest!

On Saturday night we hung out with Britt, Joe, Tammy, Taylor and
a few new friendly faces! We went to Dodie's in Allen and we were able to
watch the LSU game (which they won!) and UFC fighting
which is a big thing at Dodie's and it takes all the tvs except for
one that they left on the LSU game...they must have known I would
have made a scene if they changed it!! haha!!

On Monday evening we celebrated my Dad's birthday!!
We all went to Papa Deax for amazing seafood!!
Dad got a new phone so Ross was trying to show
him how to use it!! haha! Dad got an
Academy giftcard for all of his fun hunting items
this deer season! We love you Dad and hope
you had a great day!!

These are the lovely ladies from girls nights!
We always have such a fun time together catching up
on life, boyfriends, husbands, work, family, and whatever
else may be going on in our world. Even though
our schedules may be wild and crazy we really
appreciate the times that we are able to get together
and discuss life. Allison recently moved off to
California to have another fun adventure in
life and girls night will not be the same without her
that's for sure. But we do wish her well and
know that California has amazing
opportunities for her! Good Luck!!
I just wanted to post about the girls
because we always have a great time together
no matter what and I really appreciate
the friendships that we have developed.

On Sunday Sharon, Sofia, and I went to Grapefest in Grapevine,TX!
They have tons of wine, food, games for kids, and adorable shops!
I got a cute sign for Parker that says "Dogs laugh with their tails!"
We hung it above his food and water bowls near the kitchen and
he loves it! I also got a wooden sign for the kitchen that says
'Bless this home with love and laughter" then behind
the quote it says The LaPrades!! I love it and can't wait
to hang it up in the kitchen!!

This past Tuesday night we had a bowling event for United Way.
JCPenney is really involved with United Way and
so we had a bowl a thon to raise and donate money!
Our store had 2 teams green and purple...we were
named The Lab Rats since our JCP is the lab store
for visual set ups, new ideas and concepts.

My Team which we got to be purple for LSU!! wahoo!! Lisa, Travis, Nicole, Sarina, Bryan, and Cindy! We had a good time even if we didn't win it was for a great cause!!

This is our new wall art in the kitchen..we got it last weekend at the sample shop in Allen and I just love it! You may have rough patches in your day or even in life but you can be happy in the end and God is right by your side no matter what! :) I just thought I would share it! enjoy

At the LaPrade house we are ready for LSU Football!! First Parker in his new LSU collar ready for game day...in the picture he decided he needed to rest up before the big game in order so save his enegry!! haha! Saturday LSU beat Vanderbilt 27- 3!! On Saturday at work we got to wear jeans so I was able to sport my cute LSU top!

We found the Cupcakery!!! There is one in Frisco off the Toll and Lebanon and
it was amazing!! I was craving cupcakes and found this cute little shop
online so we had to try it out!
Ross had the day off too so he went as well!
I got the red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing which was amazing while
Ross got the chocolate and peanut butter cupcake!
Both delicious and worth the adventure! :)

We hit up the comic book store in Plano which Ross loves!
It is always an interesting trip and this time
guys were playing board games on the other side of the store
while customers shopped the books on the other..
a neat idea! I have to admit I do not like going
to the comic book store but right before we went
here Ross kindly helped me at the DSW shoe store by
our house as I looked over the rows of boots that I just adore!!

While on our way to see The American at Studio Movie Grill we
saw this in the sky and I told Ross we had to capture it!
I just love the sky, moon, stars, interesting clouds and
Ross always asks why...Do I really need to explain the
glorious beauty in the sky here!!?!

Lots of random things but hope September is treating you well!

Today was rainy and wet....so we stayed inside and relaxed! Ross had today off too and we didn't get out of bed until after 10 which was amazing!! We ran my car to the shop to get it fixed, cut Parker's hair, did laundry, hit the gym, and watched a Mel Gibson movie called Edge of Darkness which was really good! I also made delicious grilled cheese sandwiches that Ross loved! :) I know mad cooking skills right! haha! These pics are from Parker helping with the laundry! He is wearing his "Local Celebrity" shirt b/c his hair cut is a little rough at the moment!
